Dear MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT,

Toronto is Canada's largest city, sixth largest government and is the economic engine of Canada. When the economy grows, Toronto's revenues do not increase as do those collected by the federal government through the GST.

However, Toronto must pay the costs of increased demand for services and maintenance that come from a growing economy. Therefore, Toronto - like other major cities in Canada - needs permanent and predictable revenues that grow with the economy to support infrastructure and the growth that has benefited us all.

I want Toronto to remain a strong and international city worthy of investment. The people of Toronto need One Cent of the GST NOW!
